Just as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals have been a touchstone for our Vision 2020 group-operation sustainability audits, so they continue to guide and underpin our ambitiously scaled Vision 2030 goals. Leaving our world a better place for years Discover the impact legacy that your travel with &BEYOND is driving. It really hurt to leave behind such an amazing group of people. The experience was SO beautiful that my wife and I could not stop crying. We had a goodbye dinner (which we never asked for) set up by the crew outside our tent, where literally over 15 people came to sing us goodbye. Every single day they went out of their way to do something WAY BEYOND what was expected … from private candlelit dinners to amazing bush breakfasts, to taking care of me while I was ill. What I found in the hearts of the people that made our experience magically was a TRUE joy in exchanging and sharing their lives with guests like me and my wife. To say that these people really CARE about the guests, their lodge, the commitment to their work, their HONEST appreciation for the area, the service, the experience and the people would only be the tip of the iceberg. The staff that took care of us are hands-down the best group of people that I have ever encountered in the industry … and I would know, I work for a hotel company with thousands of employees. BUT … and this is what separates Kichwa from most other trips in my lifetime … the real asset (and I cannot stress this enough) is the PEOPLE. The food was unbelievable, the wine list even better! The adventures (game drives, ballooning, etc.) were mind-blowing. The place is BEAUTIFUL beyond words, the lodge is a wonderful experience, the accommodation truly world-class, the setting something straight out of a painting. It really changed our lives for the better and is probably one of the fundamental reasons why we will book again with &Beyond and return to Africa.
